TrackLog Lifeboat
For some geogeeks, there is a gap in how we can store GPS tracklogs while on a mobile device and then post these logs online for display in map applications. The "Tracklog Lifeboat" is one way to publish these field data logs for a finite period of time. Geogeeks also love and use GPS Visualizer - to convret between formats and ArcGIS Online - to map the results.
This lifeboat seats 250. When more than 250 tracklogs are uploaded, the oldest will be tossed overboard first. Expect your tracklogs to be available for several weeks to a few months, depending on how frequently tracklogs are uploaded.
How it works:
- Email or share your tracklog (GPX, KML, KMZ, or CSV) to: lifeboat@edgis.org
- Refresh this page and look below. It might take a minute to show up.
- Only the date/time and tracklog files are listed.
- Right-click the link below to copy the URL and paste into your favorite online mapping tool.
